Helen Abbott, age 87, of Marion died June 10, 2025.
Helen was born in 1937 to Charles and Velma Whetstine, formerly of Kinross, Iowa. She was the last of 12 children in that family. She attended school at Welman and Kinross. She married Bennie Abbott in 1955, and they had two children, their son, Jeffrey and their daughter, Anita.
Her interests were her family, traveling, country, and blue grass music was her favorite music.
Her family includes her daughter and favorite son-in-law, Anita and Danny Grell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie; son, Jeffrey; five sisters and seven brothers.
