Heidi Marie Kann, 59, of Marion, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at her home in Marion. A private family graveside service was held at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Cedar Rapids. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Marion assisted the family.
Heidi was born on June 25, 1965, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Hugo and Helen Caroline (Salfer) Kann. She graduated from Marion High School and went on to work for Rockwell as a Computer Analyst. Heidi was united in marriage to Larry Sills in 1984 and later divorced in 2005. She was a rock and roll junkie and enjoyed all scary movies. Heidi was very into crafting, all the latest tech, and collecting Native American Artifacts. She loved animals but, most of all, her favorite times were spent with her grandson Nash. Heidi will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Heidi is survived and lovingly remembered by her two sons, Jason Sills of Marion, and Trevor Sills of Utah; grandson, Nash Sills; father, Hugo Kann of Marion; siblings Cindy (Scott) Berntsen, and Gregory (Andrea) Kann; and best friend, Chris Wilson.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen; and sister, Sandra.
