Brenda was born Aug. 26, 1978, in Monticello, Iowa, the daughter of Eldon and Barbara (O'Dell) Jaeger. She graduated from Western Dubuque High School with the class of 1996 and went on to Northeast Iowa Community College, where she earned a degree in accounting. She married Michael Heiderscheit on May 2, 1998, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Worthington. Brenda began working at Dubuque Bank and Trust in Dubuque while she was in high school and has been with Milbert Financial Services in Dyersville for the last 12 years.
She was very interested in her family's genealogy which led her to travel much of Eastern Iowa and southwest Wisconsin visiting cemeteries and courthouses. She was also a big fan of the Dubuque Fighting Saints.
Survivors include her husband, Mike; her parents, Eldon and Barb Jaeger of Worthington; her grandmother, Irene Jaeger of Cascade; her parents-in-law, Bob and Ann Heiderscheit of Dyersville; a brother, Rod (Jennie) Jaeger, and a sister, Kathy (Mark) Massey, both of Worthington, brothers- and-sisters-in-law, Karen (Duane) Nieman of Earlville, Lois (friend Al Timmerman) Heiderscheit of Dyersville, Dan (Nicole) Heiderscheit of Ankeny, Diane (Brian) Brown of Epworth, Ron (Karen) Heiderscheit of Center Point, and Donna (Ranger) Fenton and Pat (Jill) Heiderscheit, both of Dyersville; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Urban Jaeger and Otto and Mary O'Dell; an aunt, Karen Beau; and two uncles, Clarence O'Dell and Allan O'Dell.
The family would like to thank Dr. Christian Schultheis and his staff, the doctors at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, and the nurses at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque for all of their considerate care over the last years.
