Heather M. Sanborn, 48, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2020. Because of state and federal guidance on gatherings as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the family will not have any public services at this time.
A celebration of Heather's life will be announced at a later date.
Heather Michelle Snyder was born Feb. 28, 1972, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of David Snyder and Shelley Greene. She graduated from Kennedy High School in 1990. After graduating, she went into nursing and received her RN degree. She later completed her BSN. Heather had a strong work ethic and was dedicated to her nursing career.
There was nothing more important to Heather than her family, especially her three children. Her beautiful smile will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Heather is survived by her children, Keegan Sanborn, Cassidy Sanborn and Ellie Gatrost; parents, Shelley and Paul Greene; sister, Hayley Spencer; nieces, Delaney and Kinzlee Spencer; boyfriend, Terry Gracey; and many cousins and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, David Snyder; grandparents, Harold and Maxine Willis and Dick and Mary Snyder; and uncle, C. Edward Willis.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Heather Sanborn Children's Educational Fund, c/o Collins Community Credit Union, 1150 42nd St. NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402.
