Healy, Lorraine M.
Lorraine M. Healy, 94, of Farley, Iowa, died Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at 7:05 a.m. at Luther Manor in Dubuque, Iowa.
A private visitation will be held at the Reiff Funeral Home in Farley, Iowa.
Services for Lorraine will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Farley, Iowa, where the family will greet friends and relatives after 11 a.m. until services. Rev. Dennis Cain will officiate. Burial will be held in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Farley.
Lorraine was born Nov. 10, 1915 in Dubuque, Iowa, daughter of Walter and Elizabeth (Sadler) Pregler. She received her education in the Dubuque schools. On Oct. 4, 1944 she was united in marriage to Raymond Healy at Sacred Heart Church in Dubuque. Lorraine enjoyed golfing, bowling and sewing. She was a member of St. Joseph's Parish in Farley and a member of the Farley American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by a son, Dan (Shirley) Healy of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; a daughter, Jo-El (Virg) Lopez of Farley, Iowa; seven grandchildren, Dana (Troy) Nogelmeier of Ely, Iowa, Greg (Joey) Brown of Des Moines, Iowa, Jenny (Mark) Weaver of Hiawatha, Iowa, Stephen (Tina) Lopez of Downers Grove, Ill., Richard (Miriam) Lopez of Ames, Iowa, Michael (Amanda) Lopez of Roseville, Mich., and David Lopez of Farley, Iowa; great-grandchildren, Zach O'Hare of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Andrew Brown of Des Moines, Iowa, Sydney and Anna Weaver of Hiawatha, Iowa, Abigail, Alexander and Nathan Lopez of Downers Grove, Ill., Eleanor, Greta and Raymond Lopez of Ames, Iowa, and Isabelle Lopez of Roseville, Mich.; and two brothers, Gerald Pregler and Walter (Nancy) Pregler, both of Dubuque, Iowa.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond “Poodle” Healy on March 22, 1991; two brothers, John and Robert Pregler; four sisters, Elmeta Leytem, Deloris Pregler, Irma Reisdorf, and D. Jeanne Bender; and several sisters- and brothers-in-law.
A Lorraine M. Healy memorial fund has been established in lieu of flowers.
