Hazel J. Schmidt, 80, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Friday, Sept. 5, 2014. Funeral services: 9 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, with the Rev. Cecil Ballard officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include her children, Sandra (Steve) Daringer, Tim Schmidt and Chris (Dave) Truesdell, all of Cedar Rapids; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Joann, Dixie and Sue; and brother, Tom.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Curtis; son, Jeff; daughter, Peggy; and daughter-in-law, Gerri.
