Hazel Ellen (Le Grande) French, 93, born Jan. 20, 1924, passed to her heavenly home at 9 a.m. Sunday, April 9, 2017, at Mid-Nebraska Lutheran Home, Newman Grove, Neb.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her four siblings, Goldie Mae (Bill) Mattingly, Helen Marie (Marvin) Bailey, Jesse Ray (Eileen) Le Grande and William Gayle (Shirley) Le Grande; and her parents, Ruby and Victor Le Grande.
She is survived by two children, Janet Kay Rossbach, Titusville, Fla., and Nancy Lyn Marsceau (Richard), Troy Mills; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Hazel blessed everyone with her beautiful smile and sweet spirit. Her faith in the Lord was as natural as breathing and she joyfully anticipated her reunion with all her loved ones waiting to greet her at Heaven's gate.
Hazel will be greatly missed.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 15, at Wylie-Baxley Funeral Home, 1360 N. Courtenay Pkwy., Merritt Island, Fla. A light brunch will follow the service. After the brunch, there will be a committal for the family.
Memorial gifts will be given toward remodeling of the family/activity room (Hazel and her family often used this room to visit and eat) at Mid-Nebraska Lutheran Home, Newman Grove.
