Doris Leora Hayes
Dorie was taken on the wings of angels to be with her Savior on Feb. 28, 2012.
She was born Feb. 1, 1934, to Merton and Lydia (Miller) Scalf. She married the love of her life, Ira “Wade” Hayes on Feb. 5, 1951. Spending time and traveling with and taking care of family brought great joy to her.
Dorie was blessed with two sons, David (Barb) and Daniel (Linda); five grandchildren, David JR (Lawanda), Mathew, Susan (Keith), Jed and Wendy (Marc); and nine great-grandchildren. “Aunt Dorie” was also blessed with many nieces and nephews who were like children of her own. She is also survived by five sisters, Carolyn, Ethel (Don), Evelyn (Bob), Dorothy and Barbara; and one brother, Daniel (Linda).
Doris was preceded in death by her mother and father; two sisters, Louisa and Iva; and two brothers, Calvin and George.
As per Doris' wish, services will be held at a later date when the weather is warm and beautiful, so travel is safe and enjoyable.
