Havill, Mike
Mike Havill, 62, of Clear Lake, died Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, at Mercy Hospital in Mason City.
Mike was born Jan. 17, 1951, to Charles and Maxine (Nation) Havill. Mike proudly served in the armed forces during the Vietnam era. He worked for many years at Midland Forge in Cedar Rapids; he also worked for Cole-Sewell in Clear Lake before he retired. During his retirement he enjoyed woodworking and entertaining friends in his garage.
Mike loved spending his free time with his friends and family who all will miss him greatly.
Mike is survived by his mother, Maxine of Mount Vernon; a special friend, Linda Halsne of Clear Lake; a stepson Travis (Valerie) Ames, granddaughters, Samantha and Morgan, and one great-granddaughter, Sophie, all of Klemme; three brothers, John Havill and Warren (Denise) Havill of Mount Vernon and Kevin (Doretta) Havill of Oelwein; one sister, Sue Hadenfeldt of Cedar Rapids; and many nieces and nephews.
Mike was preceded in death by his father, Charles Havill.
Mike has been cremated, and at this time no services are planned.
