Hauser, Nicholas 'Nick' Stump
Nicholas “Nick” Stump Hauser, 23, of Solon, died unexpectedly at home on Friday, March 18, 2011. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, at the Solon United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Brosh Chapel in Solon.
Nicholas was born on Mother's Day, May 10, 1987, in Des Moines, the son of Todd and Julie (Stump) Hauser. He graduated from Solon High School in 2005 and was scheduled to graduate from Kirkwood Community College in May.
Nick was very kind and gentle with a great sense of humor. He loved reading, gaming, being with friends, and the outdoors. He was a member of the Solon United Methodist Church, an Eagle Scout, and had worked at the Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. He planned to be a history teacher.
Nick is survived by his parents, Todd J. and Julie (Stump) Hauser of Solon; a brother, Lee W. Hauser of Iowa City; grandparents, Joe and Dixie Stump of Selma and Wade R. Hauser Jr. of McAllen, Texas; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Delores Hauser.
Memorials may be directed to the Solon Public Library and/ or the Solon Boy Scouts in Nick's name.
