Haugse, Arlene
Arlene Haugse, 71, of Hiawatha, died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. A gathering for friends and family will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband, Don Haugse; son, Steve Haugse of Newport, Minn.; mother, Frances Beltz of Cedar Rapids; sister, Janet (John) Anstrom of Hiawatha; her dog, Lacey; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence.
Arlene was born Oct. 10, 1940, in Cedar Rapids, daughter of Clarence and Frances (Cejka) Beltz. On Nov. 8, 1963, she married Don Haugse. Arlene worked for many years as a personal trust associate for the trust department at U.S. Bank.
She enjoyed sewing, reading and gardening.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Hiawatha Public Library in Arlene's memory.
