Hatch, Beth
Beth Hatch, 91, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Friday evening, Nov. 15, 2013, at Emeritus at Silver Pines, Cedar Rapids. Services: 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4300 Trailridge Rd. SE, Cedar Rapids. Bishop Darren Davenport will preside. Burial will be in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Dec. 6 at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home and one hour before service time at the church.
Survivors include her children, Joyce (Demoine) Findlay of Kelowna, B.C., Canada, Douglas (Deborah) Hatch of Minneapolis, Morton (Richie) Hatch of Owasso, Okla., and Wendy (Harry) Foster of Cedar Rapids; daughter-in-law, Stephanie Hatch of St. Peters, Mo.; 28 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; sisters, Laura Vezeau of Vancouver, B.C., and Lois VanAllen of Anderson, S.C.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas; son, James; two sisters and four brothers.
Beth Hurd was born Feb. 18, 1922, in Hillspring, Alberta, Canada, the daughter of Leslie and Hattie (Loose) Hurd. On April 9, 1942, she married Thomas Ross Hatch in Cardston, Alberta, Canada. He passed away in 1999.
She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She was very active in her church, including missionary service with her husband in the Philippines.
Memorials may be given in her name to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Mission Fund.
