Hasselbusch, Doris
Doris Hasselbusch, 82, of Clarence, died Sunday, Nov. 29, 2009. at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's United Church of Christ, Clarence, by the Rev. David Mears. Burial: church cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence.
Survivors include her husband, Lloyd; sister, Marilyn (Richard) Nebergall of Olin; sister in-law, Shirley Hoffner of Clarence; and five nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Robert Hoffner.
Born April 24, 1927, in Cedar County, the daughter of John and Lena (Biere) Hoffner, she married Lloyd Hasselbusch on June 5, 1971, in Clarence. Doris attended Clarence Schools through grade 11 and when the family moved to Cedar Rapids she graduated from Roosevelt High School. She attended business school and worked at Guaranty Bank in Cedar Rapids for 24 years in the trust department. She was a member of the Legion Auxiliary, St. John's Church and had been a member and officer of 3/30 Women's Golf Association. She also had been board secretary for Clarence-Lowden Schools for several years.
