Hasara, Jeffrey R.
Jeffrey R. Hasara, 16, of 3725 Monarch Ave., Marion, died Monday, Aug. 16, 2010, in his home with his family around him. Services: 7 p.m. Thursday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4300 Trailridge Rd. SE, where visitation will be at 3:30 p.m. Burial: Orem City Cemetery in Orem, Utah. Bishop Kent Schaerr will officiate. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his parents, Mark and Valerie Hasara; his sister, Rachel L. Hasara; his brothers, Ryan A. Hasara of Mount Vernon, Washington, and John R. Hasara and Travis R. Hasara, both of Marion; his grandparents, Robert and Vickie Hasara of Provo, Utah, and Nathan and Marilyn Hill of Sandy, Utah.
Jeffrey was born November 24, 1993 in Okinawa, Japan, the son of Mark and Valerie Hill Hasara. He was a sophomore at Linn-Mar High School. He loved longboarding, surfing by the ocean and being with his friends. Jeffrey was tenderhearted and was more interested in helping his friends than doing his school work. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he was active in his church and a strong believer in his God. Jeffrey was also active in Boy Scouts. His favorite thing was spending time with his family. He was a great friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
