Hartley, Richard 'Rich'
Richard “Rich” Hartley, 44, of Marengo, died Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo. Private family graveside services will be Friday, Oct. 11.
A memorial fund has been established.
Rich is survived by his mother. Becky Hartley of Marengo; a sister. Melissa Herrmann and husband Eric of Marengo; a nephew. Joseph Herrmann; and two nieces, Anna and Ellie Herrmann.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, and his father, Richard L. Hartley.
Richard William Hartley was born March 5, 1969, in Marengo, Iowa, the son Richard L. Hartley and Carolyn Gilman Hartley. He graduated from Iowa Valley High School with the class of 1987. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his dog, Sophie.
