Hartkemeyer, William 'Bill'
William “Bill” Hartkemeyer, 67, of Walker, died Friday, April 2, 2010, in his home. Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 7, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Cedar Rapids, by Pastor Perry Fruhling. Family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his wife, Darlene; his children, Rob (Suzy) Hartkemeyer, Bruce (Deb) Hartkemeyer, Deanna (Todd) VanHorbeck, Dawn (Matt) Teslow and Cheryl (Brad) Thompson; daughter-in-law, Marianne Hartkemeyer; 17 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Phyllis (Don) Maeder; and numerous relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Don.
Bill was born June 27, 1942, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He first married Roberta “Bobi” Nye. On March 19, 1988, he married Darlene Anderson. Bill worked at Rockwell-Collins for 48 years.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in memory of Bill.
