Harry J. Stomp Jr., 73, of Marion, died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2017, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. A celebration of his life will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at the home of Adam and Ana Stomp.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Stomp of Marion; a daughter, Michelle (Rick) Wood of Anamosa; a son, Adam (Ana) Stomp of Marion; and three grandchildren, Evalyn, Reina and Vincent.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Harry was born April 28, 1944, the son of Harry and Theora (Dohner) Stomp in Harrisburg, Pa. He served with the U.S. Air Force from 1961 to 1967 and was stationed in Korea. On Feb. 19, 1972, he married Judy Kucinskas in Chicago.
Harry enjoyed airplanes and was a private pilot. He listened to the Beach Boys and watched "Star Trek."
