Harry Watson Sizer Jr., born Aug. 13, 1937, died at age 78 on June 2, 2016. "Bud" passed away quietly at his home in Anamosa, surrounded by his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joan; son, Kevin; daughters, Kim (Jeff) Owen and Kerry Bell; brother, Tim; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Sr. and Faye; and sister, Patricia Schenk.
Bud graduated from Parsons College majoring in business administration. He began his career as an FDIC bank examiner and then joined his father for the next 18 years at Lisbon Bank and Trust, eventually becoming vice president. He was business manager at Lisbon Community Schools when he retired.
He loved serving his community by volunteering and promoting numerous local organizations, including the Lisbon Fire Department and Optimist Club.
He was a huge fan of outdoor activities, antiques and football, but most enjoyed spending time with his family.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A reception to remember Bud will be June 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Fawn Creek Condominium Community Room, 1701 130th St., Anamosa.
