Harreld, Olive Pauline (Leeper)
Olive Pauline (Leeper) Harreld, 84, of Manchester, passed away peacefully early in the morning, Saturday, June 9, 2012. Funeral services for Pauline will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Manchester, with a luncheon to follow at the Manchester Community Center. Pauline was born March 10, 1928, in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of William “Paul” and Stella “Marie” (Snyder) Leeper. She graduated from Packwood High School in 1945. On Feb. 17, 1946, Pauline was married to her best friend, Robert “Bob” V. Harreld, at the Christian Church in Packwood. The couple farmed in southeast Iowa before moving to a farm north of Manchester in 1960. In the late 1970s, the couple semiretired and moved near Elkader.
Pauline and Bob were the best of friends and spent many happy years together. After Bob's death in 1990, Pauline moved to Manchester. She enjoyed many things during her life: her friends, drinking coffee, collecting barns, watching the Cubs and most importantly, spending time with family.
