Harold Wood, 61, of Oxford Junction, passed away Friday, March 13, 2015. Funeral services for Harold will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, at Lahey Funeral Home in Oxford Junction. Visitation will be Monday, March 16,
from 3 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Harold Emery Wood was born in Anamosa, Iowa, on Oct. 1, 1953, to parents Emery and Hazel Wood. He was united in marriage to Lonnie Riordan on Nov. 11, 1981, at the Olin United Methodist Church. He served his country in the United States Army as a mechanic. Harold worked for IAC in Iowa City for 30 years.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Oxford Junction. He enjoyed fishing and camping and loved spending time with his kids and grandkids.
Harold is survived by his wife, Lonnie; his children, Arther Wood, Maquoketa, Andrea Wood, Clarence, Trisha Wood (Seth Ludolph), Olin, Elizabeth (Jason Meyer) Wood, Olin, and Alex Wood, Anamosa; his grandchildren, Briana, Lucas, McKenzie, Aiden, Ruby and Emery; and his brothers, Leroy (Judy) Wood and Leonard (Neila) Wood, both of Anamosa.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Ruth Ann and Marie; and his brother, Arther.
