Harold was born Sept. 24, 1937, in Laurens, Iowa, the son of Gordon and Alpha (Myhr) Vial. He graduated from Havelock High School. On May 6, 1962, Harold and Carolyn George were united in marriage in Pomeroy, Iowa. Harold farmed on the family farm, then moved to Cedar Rapids in 1966 and worked 33 years for Goss Graphics as a machinist before retiring in 2000.
