Harold Mullinnix, 86, of Iowa City passed away on December 11, 2024.
Harold was born in Johnson County, Iowa on July 23, 1938 to Stanley and Rosella (Schwab) Mullinnix.
He married Mary Ann Herring on June 9, 1962 in Hills, Iowa.
Harold worked for Johnson County Secondary Roads for nearly 30 years, retiring in 1999.
Harold enjoyed bowling, NASCAR, fixing cars, and going out to eat with family and friends. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and life member of the Eagles Lodge.
He is survived by his wife Mary Ann Mullinnix, two sons Russell (Ellen) Mullinnix and Roger (Connie) Mullinnix, four grandchildren Adam (Nicole), Tyler (Lauren), Brianna (Clay) and Nathan, great-granddaughter Bailee, brother Jerry Mullinnix, and sister-in-law Janene Mullinnix.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Jim and Leroy Mullinnix, and sisters-in-law Delores and Bonnie Mullinnix.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service, where family will greet friends prior to the service from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. Private burial will be held at a later date. Join the family for a celebration of life at The Kirkwood Room from 12:00 -2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
