HAROLD HAWKINS Cedar Rapids Harold T. Hawkins, 86, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, Feb. 5, at the Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha. No services are planned for Harold. Harold was born May 11, 1928, in Pomona, Kan., son of Edwin and Margaret Hawkins. He married Dorothy Booth and they later divorced. He is survived by four sons and one daughter, Harold (Linda), Richard, Michael (Patricia), Roger (Cindy) and Dorothy Renee Hawkins. He also is survived by four sisters, Hazel Mann, Annetta Grant, Alyce Brown and Nancy Hall; 14 grand-children; and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Donald, James and Robert; and three sisters, Dorothy Douglas, Mildred Mann and Rozena McClenathan. He was the owner of H & H Motors from 1957 until closing the business in 2013. He also worked for the railroad for 20 years. Dad had been a Golden Glove boxer and remained a follower of the sport. He liked to fish, travel and collect stuff (a trait he passed on to his kids). He will be remembered fondly and missed by the many people his life touched.
