Harold Joseph "Sonny" Fisher, 78, of Cedar Rapids, died July 4, 2017, at the Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha, following a long battle with cancer.
Sonny was born Aug. 20, 1938, in Kalona, Iowa, to Joe and Gladys (Maxwell) Fisher. He graduated from Kalona High School in 1956. He served in the U.S. Army. He married Judith A. Kelley on April 24, 1965. He retired from FedEx in 2008.
He is survived by his wife; four children, Scott (Janis) Netser, Gina (Brad) Brenneman, Jennifer Fisher (Jim Wagner) and Jared Fisher; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Preceding Sonny in death were his parents and one brother, James Fisher.
A family graveside service will be held at a later date.
