Harold Duane Nelson, 79, of Cedar Rapids died peacefully on February 6, 2025, while holding his daughter Misty’s hand. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Harold is survived by his daughter, Misty Nelson; son, Mick (Kari) Nelson; and grandchildren, Tim Nelson, and Sara Nelson.
He was reunited in heaven with his wife, Gini; infant daughters, Kari and Kristi; granddaughter, Abigail; and his special dog buddy, Bentley.
Harold was born on June 22, 1945, in Oelwein, the son of Bert and Leora Tank Nelson. He graduated in 1963 from East Buchanan High School. On January 13, 1968, he married Gini Sue Stodola in Cedar Rapids. He was a proud employee of Rockwell Collins.
Harold loved gardening and sharing veggies with the entire neighborhood.
Instead of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
