Harlan Joseph “Joe” Teslik, 82, of Iowa City, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2025. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, Iowa City. Visitation will be held half an hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Riverside, IA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family.
Joe was born on November 26, 1942, in Iowa City, Iowa the son of Edward and Mina (Shay) Teslik. He worked for the VA Hospital in maintenance for over 22 years. Joe also drove a semi-truck in his youth and snow removal after retirement. He lived a simple life. Joe was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Iowa City.
Joe is survived by his wife, Becky McGlumphry Teslik, of Coralville; two brothers, David Teslik of OK, and Dean (Dorothy) Teslik of Swisher, IA; 13 nieces and nephews, a special niece, Rita Cabello; and special friend from the church, Brandon Davies.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents; five siblings, Joyce Wingler, Mary Collingwood, Rita Teslik, Edward Teslik and Thresa Culberson; and two nephews, Mark Collingwood and John Wingler.
