Hansel, Lois F.
Lois F. Hansel, 81, of Edgewood, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 13, 2013, at the Edgewood Convalescent Home.
Lois was born Nov. 26, 1931, in Edgewood, to Lewis and Helen (Pogue) Tilp. She was united in marriage to Robert Hansel on June 14, 1953, in Manchester. Three sons were born to this union. Together they resided in Edgewood over the years. Lois was employed at Ertl's until she retired at the age of 60.
She enjoyed spending time with family, especially grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Lois is survived by her husband, Robert of Edgewood; three sons, Alan (Deb) Hansel of Manchester, Mark (Ann) Hansel of Edgewood and Neal Hansel of Edgewood; six grandchildren, Robby (Jen) Hansel of Phoenix, Ariz., Jaimy Hansel of Colesburg, Lisa (Jason) Hoefer of Edgewood, Nick (Megan) Hansel of Strawberry Point, Jesse (Jessica) Hansel of Firestone, Colo., and Zak Hansel of Dyersville; 11 great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Lila (Dolly) Tilp; her brother-in-law, Roger Schenke; and her cousin, Helen Marie DeRocker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Ann Schenke; and her brother, Gary Tilp.
