Hankins, Irene Louseda
Irene Louseda Hankins, 100, of Northridge, Calif., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died July 4, 2010, in Northridge. Private family services were July 7 in California. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include her son, Thomas Hankins, and granddaughter, Christine Sukau, both of Northridge, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Hankins, on Dec. 12, 2000.
Born Aug. 25, 1909, in Minden, Neb., she married Clifford Hankins on Feb. 2, 1936. Irene was a graduate of the University of Nebraska Nursing School. She lived in Cedar Rapids from 1942 until 2004.
