Hampshire, James D.
James D. Hampshire, 55, of Muscatine, Iowa, died at his home. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, at Lahey Funeral Home in Wyoming, where the family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Burial will be in Wyoming Cemetery, Wyoming, Iowa, at a later date.
James Dean Hampshire was born Nov. 11, 1956, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Charlie and Patricia (Seeman) Hampshire. He graduated from Kennedy High School in Cedar Rapids. He retired in 2012 from Carver Pump, Muscatine, after over 20 years of service.
He is survived by three children, Jon Hampshire and Matthew (Deborah) Hampshire, both of Cedar Rapids, and Danyelle Hampshire of Orlando, Fla.; five grandchildren; his parents, Charlie and Patricia Hampshire of Center Junction; a sister, Colleen Ahrendsen of Olin; a brother, Darrin (Blanca) Hampshire of Rogers, Ark.; and two nephews.
Memorials are preferred.
