Hamann, Helen Elizabeth
Funeral services for Helen Elizabeth Hamann, 94, of Tipton, who died Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21, at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton, with the Rev. Richard Smith officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday before the service. Burial will be at Tipton Masonic Cemetery.
Helen was born March 24, 1918, in Wilton, Iowa, daughter of Richard H. and Hazel Elizabeth Woode Laucamp. Helen was a 1936 graduate of Tipton High School. Helen worked as a wallpaper hanger and a painter. Helen was a member of South Bethel Methodist Church. She enjoyed writing poetry and had a love for animals, especially her cats.
Helen is survived by her daughters, Linda Hamann of West Liberty and Lisa Fox of Montgomery, Ala.; son, Robert Hamann of Petersburg, Ill.; and 10 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Glen and Paul Michael Hamann; sisters, Virginia (William) Lenihan and Janice Timmerman; and grandchildren, Michael Stewart Hamann and John Richard “Jason” Mead.
