Hall, Jerome 'Jerry' William
Jerome “Jerry” William Hall, 78, of Forest Lake, Minn., and Port St. Lucie, Fla., passed away Friday, March 16, 2012, in Port St. Lucie, surrounded by his family. A celebration of Jerry's life will be held at a later date. Chisago Lake Lutheran Church in Center City, Minn., is assisting the family with final arrangements.
He was born March 4, 1934, in Center City, Minn., to Wilhelm and Estella (Johnson) Hall. He graduated from Chi High class of 1952, served two years in the United States Army and attended the University of Minnesota, earning a degree in business in 1958.
He spent his entire lifetime career as a CPA with McGladrey and Pullen, working in offices in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Richmond, Va., and Atlanta, Ga. He retired as a partner in 1989.
Jerry was a passionate golfer and carded seven holes-in-one. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He loved to entertain them. An avid reader and world traveler, he also enjoyed a good debate on current affairs.
Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Ann; beloved children, Elizabeth (Jim) Gilroy of Dawsonville, Ga., Jeffrey of Alpharetta, Ga., and Angel (Steve) Perry of Jefferson, Ga., and their mother, Marilyn Monson Hall; and his cherished grandchildren, Madi Gilroy and Heather and Jackson Perry. Also surviving ares his sister, Carolyn Engstrand of Bloomington, Minn.; and brothers, David (Sandy) Hall of Merrimac, Wis., and Kent (Bev Minn) Hall of Sitka, Alaska.
