Hale, Stanley L.
The time has come for us to say goodbye to our loved one, Stanley L. Hale. Our beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather has left us to join others in our family who have passed before him. Stanley started his journey on Friday, June 25, 2010, from Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque after a short illness.
A celebration of his life will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 29, at Carson & Son Funeral and Cremation Services in Maquoketa, where visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight. Interment will be at the Buckhorn Cemetery.
Stanley is survived by his wife of 70 years, Lina; a daughter, Karen (Bill) Alday of Cedar Rapids; a son, Allan (Kay) Hale of Ely; grandchildren, Stacy (Stephen) Duffy, Ryan Alday, Kristen Hale, Amanda (Nic) Chase, all of Cedar Rapids, and Jennifer (John) Buresh of Ely; and 10 great-grandchildren, Brenan, Quin, Ethan and Madelyn Duffy, Dillon and Drake Brunscheen, Bryce and Braden Buresh and twins, Keelen and Colin Hale.
Stanley owned and operated Hale Implement in Monmouth for 34 years. Your knowledge and skills will be truly missed by those who went seeking advice on how to keep that older tractor going. His son, Allan, is proud to own a 1948 AC that was originally sold by his father and restored by son.
We wish to thank those in the community who have helped Lina and Stanley over the last few years enabling them to stay in their home in Monmouth. We thank God that you were given 94 years on this earth and that your passing was peaceful.
