Haight, The Rev. Robert B. (Bob)
The Rev. Robert B. (Bob) Haight died suddenly in his Solon home after a valiant 3 ½ year battle with a rare form of thyroid cancer. He was the beloved husband of the Rev. Emily S. (Demme) Haight, Ph.D. of Houston, Texas, for 34 years, and the devoted father of David L. Haight (Megan) of Dallas, Texas, and Daniel B. Haight of Solon.
He is survived by two sisters, Marilyn Haight of Minneapolis, and Marty Kajewski (Bill) of Oelwein; and one brother, Richard Haight (Janis) of Waterloo.
A memorial service officiated by the Rev. Carol Kress will be held on Sunday, Aug. 7, at the Solon United Methodist Church at 3 p.m. with visitation beginning at 2 p.m. Brosh Chapel in Solon is handling arrangements.
Memorial contributions honoring his values and interests may be made to Garrett-Evangelical Seminary, the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR), Habitat for Humanity or Bread for the World.
