Hadenfeldt, Wilma L.
Wilma L. Hadenfeldt, 84, of Marengo, died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010, at Rose Haven Nursing Home in Marengo. Visitation: 5 to 7 tonight at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo. Private funeral services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Marengo Cemetery. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be contributed to Rose Haven Nursing Home.
She is survived by a son, Ed and wife Mary of Solon; a daughter, Jean Quinlan and husband William of Chicago; and five grandchildren, Alice Quinlan and Andy Quinlan of Chicago, Adam Hadenfeldt of Mount Vernon, Aaron Hadenfeldt of Cedar Rapids, and August Hadenfeldt of Cedar Falls.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Dwight Ehrman; a sister, Marilyn Watts; and a brother, Eugene, who died in childhood.
Wilma Lorene Ehrman was born Dec. 28, 1925, in Marengo, Iowa, the daughter of John and Carrie (Lutz) Ehrman. She graduated from Marengo High School. Wilma was a legal secretary for Byron Goldthwaite in Marengo and later served as Deputy Clerk of Iowa County for many years.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Marengo and the Marengo Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed spending time cooking and sewing.
Wilma was a loving mother and grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her and remembered as someone who was more concerned about the welfare of others rather than her own.
