Gustafson, Dorothea L.
Dorothea L. Gustafson, 98, a resident of Heritage Nursing and Rehab, died there Saturday, Dec. 26, 2009. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be at the chapel from noon to service time on Tuesday.
Survivors include her son, David (Trudy) Kessler, and daughter-in-law, Betty Kessler, all of Cedar Rapids; four granddaughters; 11 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather; brother, Robert; son, Paul; and her husband, Fred Gustafson.
Dorothea was born Aug. 15, 1911, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to Merle and Edna Webster Miller. She worked for several years at the Eagles Grocery Store on Mount Vernon Road and then for Armstrong's Department Store for four years. She was a member of Eastern Star Chapter 415 and First Lutheran Church.
