Grunder, John Roy Jr.
John Roy Grunder Jr., 80, of Mechanicsville, died Monday, May 14, 2012, at home. Graveside Service: 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, at Mechanicsville Cemetery by the Rev. Bill Harnish. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion.
Survivors include his wife, Eva; brother, Edward (Margaret) Grunder; sisters-in-law, Evelyn East and Betty Aman; and brothers-in-law, Arthur (Jeanette) Reusch and Robert (Evelyn) Reusch.
Also surviving is John's very special friend, Brian Merritt and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, John Roy Grunder III; and brother, Raymond East.
John was born Nov. 22, 1931, in Mechanicsville, the son of John Roy Sr. and Beula (Andre) Grunder. He was a veteran on the U.S. Navy having served during the Korean War. John married Eva Reusch on Dec. 6, 1957.
