Groom, Jerry Paul
Jerry Paul Groom, 54, of Marion, Iowa, formerly of Washington, Iowa, died Saturday, July 21, 2012, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids following complications from surgery. Celebration of life services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home in Washington with Pastor Andrew Zuehlke officiating. Visitation will begin at noon Tuesday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will take place at the Crawfordsville Cemetery in Crawfordsville, Iowa.
A general memorial has been established.

He is survived by his son, Jerry Groom and wife Holly of Marion; son, Ryan Groom and wife Erica of Oskaloosa; daughter, Patricia Godt and husband Daniel of Olathe, Kan.; and five grandchildren, Jerry Marshall Groom, Libby, Ryan and Aydan Groom and Daniel Godt.
He is also survived by his sister, Barb Curtis of Amana; brother, Jerry Lee Groom Jr. and wife Susan of Springdale, Ark.; brother, Bobby Groom and wife Lea of Carthage, Mo.; and brother, Roger Groom of Salt Lake City, Utah.
