Griffith, Deone Sue
Funeral services for Deone Sue Griffith, 52, who passed away March 17, 2010, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 22, at United Methodist Church, Tipton, with Pastor Paul Frederiksen officiating. A visitation will take place from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Burial will be at Rock Island National Cemetery.
Deone Sue Griffith, the daughter of Dean Everett and Ruth Ione Kirchner Newman, was born Sept. 27, 1957, in Fort Madison, Iowa. She was a 1976 graduate of Fort Madison High School. Deone was united in marriage to Donald Blake Griffith. She was a homemaker and member of Tipton United Methodist Church.
Deone is survived by her husband, Donald B. Griffith of Tipton; mother, Ruth I. Newman of North Liberty; brother, Terry (Katheryn) Newman of Phoenix; and sisters, Diane (Randy) Rotter and Denise (Mike) Scott, both of North Liberty.
