Greiter, Jacqueline 'Jackie'
Jacqueline “Jackie” (nee Quint) Greiter, 48, of St. Charles, Ill., ended her courageous battle with breast cancer on Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, at Delnor Hospital, Geneva, Ill. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 2900 E. Main St., St. Charles. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 20, at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 E. Main St. (corner of Routes 25 and 64), St. Charles, IL 60174.
She was born Jan. 23, 1964, to Bernard Glen and Jane Frances Quint in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Jackie graduated from Loras College in Dubuque, with a degree in business finance. Following her graduation she worked at Kemper Financial, AG Edwards, managed a Corning Revere store and her most current endeavor was a representative for Market Day.
Jackie was known for her volunteer work, especially for her church, St. John Neumann Catholic Church, as Eucharistic minister, and as a religious education teacher. She also was a Girl Scout leader and committee member for the Boy Scouts. She lovingly gave her time to her children's schools as a PTO member and was always available to help in any capacity. She enjoyed the outdoors; her favorite activities were hiking, spending time in the mountains, and camping with family and friends.
She is survived by two wonderful children, Zachary and Elizabeth; her husband, Tom; her father, Bernard, and his wife, Judy, of Shellsburg, three brothers, Rod (Julie) Quint of New London, Wis., Roger Quint of Nevada, Iowa, and Brad Quint of Cedar Rapids; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Jane Frances.
Jackie wanted to “Thank you for all the wonderful friendships through all the years - until we see each other again.”
