Greiner, Judith C.

Judith C. Greiner, 74, a lifetime resident of Sigourney, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012.

Judy was born on Sept. 10, 1937, to Harold and Gleda Jennings Northup. She married Francis William Greiner on April 4, 1959, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sigourney, by the Rev. James Mackin. Judy attended school in Sigourney. She was member of St. Mary's Church in Sigourney, and worked as a nursing assistant at the Keokuk County Hospital. Judy was a proud supporter of her children and grandchildren and all of their activities.

Survivors include seven children, Cynthia (Dan) Carluccio, Denver, Colo., Anthony (Janet) Greiner, St. Louis, Mo., Joseph (Jane) Greiner, Coralville, Kathleen (Clint) Cason, Ottumwa, Michael Greiner, Sigourney, Thomas (Kathy) Greiner, Spring Valley, Minn., and Gregory (Barbara) Greiner, Des Moines; 11 granddaughters; four grandsons; three great-grandsons; a great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug.. 11, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 415 E. Pleasant Valley St., Sigourney. Burial will be held at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations will be shared among various charities.
