Gregory Richard McMann, 43, passed away suddenly on Dec. 4, 2014. Visitation will be at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home on Sunday, Dec. 7, at 1 p.m., with a funeral celebration beginning at 2:30 p.m. Private family burial will be at a later time.
He was born Oct. 17, 1971, the son of Richard and Jean (Bader) McMann, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Greg enjoyed living and working in the REM community for over 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his "Pa" in 2005.
He is survived by his loving mother; and three sisters, Pamela (Randy) Lindorfer, Carla Gore and Sheila (Dave) Cronbaugh. He will be deeply missed by his nephews and nieces, Caroline (Nick) Holicky, Dominic (Amanda) Gore, Anthony, Matthew and Nicholas Gore, Matt and Amanda Lindorfer and Noah Cronbaugh; and his great-nieces, Annmarie and Delaney Holicky.
He also is survived by caring aunts, uncles and cousins and his REM family, to whom we are so grateful for all the love and compassion they shared.
His favorite things were watching "CHiPs and Emergency," going to McDonald's, Camp Courageous and on outings with his REM friends, spending time with family, enjoying a Coke, and especially, spaghetti.
The family asks in lieu of flowers, a memorial donation be made to Camp Courageous in Monticello.
