Gregory J. Kos, 59, of Lisbon died Friday, Feb. 2, 2018, at Mercy Medical Center. There will be a visitation from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, where everyone attending is encouraged to dress casually. There will be a family graveside service at a later date.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon; a daughter, Lindy (fiancé Alan) Kos of Dysart; two stepsons, Mitch (Stacey) Glew
of Vinton and Travis Glew of Lisbon; his mother, JoAnne Kos of Waterloo; two sisters, Dawn (Scott) Karr of Dysart and Monica (Mark) Gillette of Rio Grande City, Texas; and a brother, Doug (Vern) of Wisconsin. He also is survived by seven grandchildren and his three dogs, Chloe, Bug, and Kandy. He was preceded in death by his father.
Greg was born on Nov. 11, 1958, in Marshalltown, the son of Virgil and JoAnne Macosky Kos. He married Sharon K. Mitchell on July 21, 2001, in Lisbon.
Greg was the project coordinator at C.R. Conveying for over 25 years.
Greg enjoyed snowmobiling, working on cars, and watching drag racing and New Orleans Saints football. He was a wonderful son, husband, father, grandfather and friend, whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
