Gregory Alan Herdlicka, 56, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Monday, April 3, 2017, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 7, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion. The family requests
casual attire.
Greg is survived by his wife, Peggy of Cedar Rapids; children, Jason (Cesilee) Shaw of Madison, Wis., Cortnee (Danielle) Hemesath of Cedar Rapids and Andrea (Adam) Fish of Vinton; grandchildren, Reece, Atticus, Josie, Grace, Allie and Steele; sisters, Susan (Steve) Hiedeman of Cedar Rapids and Sandy (Dale) McGrath of Norway; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Greg was born Aug. 14, 1960, at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois, the son of Harral and Marguerite (Johnson) Herdlicka. He graduated from Kennedy High School in 1978. On Aug. 6, 1989, Greg was united in marriage to Peggy in Norway, Iowa. He worked as a truck driver and at TSA. Greg enjoyed antiquing, fishing, boating, motorcycles and spending time with his family.
A memorial fund has been established in Greg's memory.
