Gregory, Betty L.
Betty L. Gregory, 85, of Anamosa, formerly of Marion, died Aug. 31, 2011. Private graveside services and burial will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Arrangements entrusted to Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids.
Surviving are her son, John Gregory and wife Joy of Anamosa; grandson, David Gregory and wife Chantalle of Center Junction; her sister, Darlene Coon of Escondido, Calif.; stepgrandchildren, Janie (Jeff) Havenstrite, Jacqueline (Don) Volz, Amy (Ryan) Barta and Clinton Meader; 10 stepgreat-grandchildren; and a stepgreat-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tex; son, David Henry Gregory; and her sister, Mary.
Betty Louise Gregory was born April 9, 1926, in Mechanicsville. She moved to Cedar Rapids and later called Marion her home. She worked at the Butterfly Café and in 1958 worked at Collins Radio until her retirement.
Betty enjoyed Pepper, her beloved Boston terrier. Her greatest enjoyment was time spent with her family, especially her grandson and stepgreat-granddaughter.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the caring staff of Care Initiatives Hospice, especially Tracy, Bree, Rachel and Suzanne.
