Gregor, Howard Owen
Howard Owen Gregor, 90, died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010, at Jones Regional Medical Center in Anamosa. Memorial services will be held 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Goettsch Funeral Home in Anamosa. The Rev. Laurie Riley will officiate at the service. Friends may call starting at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home in Anamosa.

Surviving are his son, Valen (Marie) Gregor of Martelle; a brother, Bill (Diane) Gregor of Des Moines; seven grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Selma; and a sister, Irma Barr.
Howard Owen Gregor was born July 28, 1919, in Solon, Iowa. He was the son of Oldrich and Albia Moses Gregor. Howard was a 1937 graduate of McKinley High School. On May 31, 1941, Howard and Selma Cole were united in marriage in Marion, Iowa. He worked most of his life for Iowa Steel & Iron Works in Cedar Rapids as a foreman. Howard enjoyed woodworking, fishing and dancing.
He will be missed dearly by those closest to him.
