Green, Susan M.
Susan M. Green, 61, of 195 Mayden Ave. SW., Cedar Rapids, died Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, at her home. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband, Don Sr.; children, Don Jr. of Cedar Rapids and Kristine (Justin) Anderson of Des Moines; one granddaughter, Jennings Anderson; brother, Ronald Stevens of northwest Arkansas; niece and nephew, Ron Jr. and Shannon; five grandnieces and grandnephews; sister-in-law, Bette Bates of Shell Rock; and her cat, Sophie.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, David Stevens.
Born June 10, 1950, in Mason City, Iowa, Susan was the daughter of Robert and Marlene (Hoffman) Stevens. On May 23, 1968, she was united in marriage to Don Green Sr. She worked for the Cedar Rapids Police Department.
Susan was an active member of AARP, was a Girl Scout leader for many years and spent 20 wonderful years in southern California. She loved traveling, camping and boating but her greatest joy was spoiling her granddaughter.
She was the greatest wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend in the world.
Instead of flowers, memorials may be directed in Susan's memory to the Multiple Sclerosis Association.
