Graybill, David Lee

David Lee Graybill, 58, of Ryan, died Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Silver Creek United Methodist Church, Robinson. The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Central City, with a Masonic service to follow. Burial: Silver Creek Cemetery, Robinson.

Survivors include his wife, Mary; children, Jessica Curtis, Amber Mussman, Tyler Graybill and Mitchel (fiancee Tiffany Smith) Graybill; and grandchildren, Emma Curtis and Presley Mussman.

Also surviving are his brothers, Gary (Regina) Graybill and Bill (Charlotte) Graybill; sister, Jean (Bill) Mangold; and mother-in-law, Alva Friedrichs.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Bob Graybill; and father-in-law, Bob Friedrichs.

David was born June 4, 1951, in Manchester, Iowa, to Veryle and Frances (Emerson) Graybill. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked in auto parts and repair.

David married Mary Friedrichs on June 18, 1983, at Palisades Park in Mount Vernon, Iowa. He was a member of the Masons and an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan. David was a proud Papa and had a great love for life. He enjoyed every minute spent with his family and friends.
