Dominic A. Grasso, 82, of Olathe, Kan., formerly of Oelwein, died on Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012, at Sunrise Assisted Living, Leawood, Kan. Mass of the Resurrection: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Oelwein. Visitation: 4:30 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Oelwein. Rosary Service: 6:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Scripture Service: 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment: Woodlawn Cemetery, Oelwein, with military graveside services.
A memorial fund has been established for the Oelwein High School Dollars for Scholars and the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.

Dominic is survived by his two sons, Charles “Ed” (Angela) Grasso of Leawood, Kan., and Dominic (Barbara) Grasso of Fredericksburg, Va.; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; a sister, Anne (James) Kennicott of Jesup; a brother, Anthony (Nellie) Grasso of Hazleton; and numerous other relatives.
