Grant, Margaret M.
Margaret M. Grant, 88, of Cottage Grove Place, died there Friday, Jan. 14, 2011, after a lengthy illness. Services: 1 p.m. Monday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, by the Rev. David Beckman. Entombment: Cedar Memorial Park Mausoleum. A visitation will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 3 to 5 p.m. today and at the chapel after 12:30 p.m. Monday.
Margaret is survived by her husband, John; daughter, Barbara (Brett Nitzschke) Grant of Cedar Rapids; and daughter-in-law, Arlene Grant of Milwaukee, Wis.
She was preceded in death by her son, Bob Grant; parents; and sister, Florence Marshall.
Margaret was born March 19, 1922, in Houghton, Mich., to Herman and Clarice (Jones) Wieder. She married John J. Grant in Houghton, Mich., on May 4, 1946.
Margaret was a loving and devoted wife and mother who always put her family first. She was an avid Cubs fan.
