Graham, Maxine (Rick)
Maxine (Rick) Graham, 86, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, Dec. 25, 2009, at Regional Medical Center, Manchester. Per Maxine's request, there will be no visitation or services. Arrangements with Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include son, Rex (Kathy) Graham; two grandsons, Shawn Graham and Shane Graham; three granddaughters, Jenny (Curtis Tichy) Amthauer, Katie (Nate Simmons) Essig and Amanda Graham; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frosty; son, Rick; brother, Nathan Rick; and two daughters-in-law, Kit and Lucy.
Maxine was born Aug. 1, 1923, the daughter of Lillain and Margaret (Bond) Rick in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. On July 1, 1948, she was united in marriage to Forrest “Frosty” Graham in Cedar Rapids. Maxine was a 53-year member of VFW Post 788 Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing cards and dancing.
A memorial fund has been established in memory of Maxine.
